Why do people think China is a poor/undeveloped country?
Hi! I live in Sydney, Australia but my family's Chinese. I recently came back from a trip to China and saw that BMW, audi, Volkswagen, Citroen cars and many other European cars are more common on Chinese roads then Australia... It's more common in China to see a european car then a japanese vehicle (Toyota , Honda, Suzuki etc.
Some of my friends think china is a poor country and they automatically judge china when they haven't even been to the country
I was born in Beijing in 1997 and came here in 2000 (parents came here in 1999)

Certified Pre Owned or New?
With a ~$22,000 budget, would I be better off purchasing a Certified Pre Owned vehicle or a new car? I know that with less than $20,000, I can get myself a Toyota Corolla or a Honda Civic, maybe even a Camry or an Accord. I have also been looking into Certified Audis.. There's a 2008 certified Audi A4 that is on a lot for about 22 grand. I'm just wondering, would I be better off with a new Toyota or Honda, or a certified used Audi? And why?

Which car is best for first car?
Okay, I'm going to be 16 in April and a car is one of my main prioritys. My mother and are willing to put down at the most $11000 in all for my first car.( I told them I'd work for a whole year to pay for some the car and insurance) I've narrowed my choices down to 5 cars that I would want.
P.S. My parents will only get me a car once I fully know how to drive so please don't tell me to get a crap car for my first car cause ill wreck it, because I won't ill treat it like a newborn baby(:
1. 2006 Volkswagen GTI. I think its a pretty cool car. Pretty fast. And I love the hatchback. I heard the reliability isnt the best but from what I've have read up about it, its a pretty good car overall!
2. 04 or 05 Volvo s40. I think its a pretty slim looking design for a sedan and the engines good so its pretty quick on its feet. Ive read they are reliable and are VERY SAFE and my mom really supports me getting a safe car for my first car. I have read that the repairs are very expensive which may be a problem but maybe not. I'm not too sure.
3. 04 or 05 Audi a4. This car is SO sexy. My friend has one and I can't get enough of it. There not too expensive used but I've heard that repairs and insurance are a lot. I honesty love this car it looks new even when its 5 years old. It's also fast.
4. 05 or 06 Subaru WRX. I've read that their tanks and are very reliable. They are a bit expensive but repairs and insurance won't be as bad as an Audi or volvo. They are also good looking and pretty fast.
5. 06 or 07 Mazda 3, its a pretty nice car for Japanese made(nothing against the japanese) and they have a nice high tech looking exterior. They are also pretty fast.
Which 2 of these 5 cars would be the best option? Could use please give specific examples like price, safety, speed, reliability, cost..etc.
Please help this is one of the hardest descisions of my life and answers are greatly appreciated(:

Audi A4 electrical/alarm problems?
I have a Audi b5 2.8, and this morning I tried turning it on but it wouldnt start. It was -20 degrees so i thought it was frozen because it was choking. Later i tried getting into the car and the alarm started beeping and wouldnt go off even if I put the key in the door, and ignition. every time I try opening the door the alarm goes off, and the car doesnt even start the alarm goes off too if I try starting the car.. Im very frustrated and have no idea whats going on. anyone have ideas?
