I'm financing a 2006 BMW X3 and still owe $15,133 on the car. The dealer offered me $14,000 for it. I'd have to pay the difference of $1,133 up front. I now live in NYC and wanted to buy a Smart Car instead (I know, big change) because parking is terrible with the X3 and it won't survive as well as it did in the suburbs. I barely use the car now and it's got 54,000 miles.
The Smart Car lease will be 0 down, $90/month for 36 months.
Do you think it makes financial and common sense to sell the X3 back to the dealer and get a Smart car or should I wait to first pay off the $1,133?
To be correct, I wanted to *lease* not finance a smart car - which I believe the $90 deal is for...

So my range rover is dying :'( and i need a new car that lasts longer and retains its value better,
my dad said he's getting me a x5 black on black tinted windows and brand new black rims,
but i heard they are considered soccor mom cars?? or is that the x3?
