What is this clicking grinding sound coming from the rear of my truck ?

I have a 1989 dodge Dakota 4x4 3.9 v6 it has been making a grinding clicking popping sound . The sound comes from the rear it sounds like and it only happens when I accelerate. It's really got me worried but can't really afford to take it to a mechanic as of right now.

I am finishing a rebuilt on a 1996 Dakota Magnum V6 3.9L. The emission sticker under hood does not specify degrees and nether does the repair manual. I started the degree wheel at 0 degree and still didn't start. i set at 5 degree advance sence its labled -5 to +5 and it started. Engine backfires with white smoke out of the exhaust am trying to reset with timing light by twisting the distributor. I get it to stop back fire and let it idol for a bit and it seems smooth but then it's idol falls and the intake sound like it has a vaccum leak because it is sucking really hard. I need to know the exact degree for this engine.

I am looking to get my first truck. I'm 16 and am looking for a truck that is a 4x4 and is good off-roads. I love Chevy and Dodge but I very much dislike Ford. I am having a hard time choosing between the Silverado Z71 and the Dodge Dakota. I need a truck that is cheap and it doesn't have to be a newer model. Any suggestions?

Why does heater core leak on passenger side?

My heater core is basically right by my steering wheel but everybody says that if it is busted that the passenger side floor will be wet. I don't see why? 2k dodge dakota. If you see under hood of dakota the heater core connection is on the right side of motor when looking at it from front of vehicle. This is why I do not see why people say it leaks on the pasenger side. Plus i'm loosing fluid somewhere and nobody can figure it out. No bad oil etc. Thanks for the help so far.

I Have a 2002 Dodge Dakota 4x4 4.7L that starts up with a loud ticking noise almost sounds like a diesel.It starts to go away after the oil warms up. My oil pressure gauge is normal until put in drive then it shoots up to the H mark but never goes past it. Im thinking oil pump but not sure, any Ideas?

Do I need a new car starter or new ignition switch?

I drive a 97 dodge dakota. 139k miles. When the truck sits for a hour or more, and then I start the truck, the truck will make the standard noise like any vehicle will when starting it, but it just takes 2-3 times longer to fully start the car. So I guess its 'turning over'... BUT it starts every time. just takes a while to start. BUT after I start the car, if I turn it off and start it up again, it will start up right away like it should. Or if its just sitting turned off for even a half hour, it will start up right away. Why is this happening?
