1964 Ford Thunderbird Oil Pressure Problem?

My 1964 Ford Thunderbird has a small issue with the stock FE 390. The oil pressure seems to be really low whenever I put the car into drive or reverse but the oil pressure will return to normal when I put it back into park. If I press the throttle more then half way when it's in drive the engine will often sputter and die (even if I let it warm up). Does anyone know what could be causing this? Thanks!

Brakes make a hissing sound hard to push in?

I have a 95 Ford thunderbird v8. When I push in on the brakes it makes a hissing sound and it is hard to push in. I have replaced the break pads and will try bleeding it. The only other thing I know of is the brake booster, any other ideas? Also how much is a break booster and is it easy to put in or will I need a mechanic?

Beginner Motorcyclist?

I'm 16 almost 17 and I have decided to get my first motorcycle. I'm just about 6' and weigh around 195-210. And since money is tough for me, I believe I could trade my 1966 Ford Thunderbird. I'm still not sure what type of motorcycle I want so here are several motorcycles that I have been told would be good for a beginner. Kawasaki Ninja 250r Kawasaki 500r Honda Interceptor Suzuki GS500f Suzuki SV650 Kawasaki Versys Kawasaki Ninja 650 Yamaha FZ6R Honda CBR250 Please tell me what you think and if you think anyone would ever trade a motorcycle for a beautiful 66 Thunderbird.

1994 Ford Thunderbird V8 4.6L - Check Engine Codes?

I have two trouble codes. P0443 - EVAP Purge Control Circuit P0743 - Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Electrical What I am wondering is where to go from here on diagnosing how to fix the codes. The car is running good, but does surge while going freeway speeds very softly. If I wasnt paying attention to it I wouldnt have even noticed it surging. This has something to do with the P0443 being part of the exhaust system. I have changed the purge control solenoid. Where do I go from here? I am thinking that I just need to change transmission fluid for P0743, I havent worked on this code yet, but if there is anything common about this code that you know I would love to hear it! Thanks! P.S. THIS IS OBD-II. I know it seems weird having OBD-II on a 1994 - but it has it.

97 ford thunderbird...?

I have a 97 ford thunderbird that quit on me tha other day. When I try to turn it over it just clicks. We towed it to my moms n her husband chckd it, tha starter is good, wasnt that. Chckd oil, I had no oil! Put 3.5 qts in, still wont start. Not sure how long its been witout oil but last time it'd been chckd was bout 3weeks ago. But I dnt drive everyday n when I do I dont drive much, but anyways. Her husband sd if the motor was locked that there would be water in the oil? Is that true or is that only if it was hydrolocked, not if it was locked cuz it had no oil? Sum1 else told me a head gasket would be blown if the motor was locked from having no oil. How would we know and what could be some other probable causes why it wouldn't be turning over. Is there a way we can manually start the engine, I read sometimes thats possible. If some1 could help me out and answer as soon as possible, would greatly appreciate. Thanks. The terminals were just replaced about 2 weeks ago and I took my battery to autozone yesterday they said it had a bad cell and wouldn't take a charge so today I went and got a new battery, well used from a junkyard and it still wouldn't start. they checked it and it dont have water in it they said if it was locked it would have water in it but it doesnt. And I was told by some1else the.head gasket would be blown and we could turn it by hand but that if even if we get it to start its going to happen again cause the bearings are already bad but.ill try the sparkplug thing. How can i make my 1966 Ford Thunderbird fast as hell? AND LOUD!?

I have a 1966 ford thunderbird with a v8 390 engine in it. automatic. only 70 k miles on the engine. god knows how many miles are on the frame. but the interior is practically pristine. only needs new ceiling fabric. needs some welding done to the undercarriage, but other than that the exterior body shell is in excellent condition except for a couple small rust spots. i want to make this car into the ultimate muscle car and i want it to be fast. I ESPECIALLY WANT IT TO ROAR! what can i do to this car? what are some good high performance auto parts sites? what type of modifications would i need to make to get a cold air intake, supercharger, nitrous, blowout valves, exhaust, etc. anyone have any good tips? it would be much appreciated.
