Top "small" cars for comfortably carrying four adults plus luggage, with good handling and...?
What are your top picks from the following group of "small" cars [see below]...
1) ...Firstly, simply in OVERALL VALUE for the money? ...and...
2) ...Secondly, with SPECIFIC REGARD to carrying FOUR adults and FOUR medium-sized suitcases, and doing so with good handling and comfortable ride (when fully loaded with four people and luggage)?
Here is the group of cars to consider -- any one of the following cars from model years 2006 to 2012 [I will consider a preowned 2006-2011 vehicle with under 60K, along with brand new 2012 vehicles]...
- Chevy Cobalt
- Chevy Cruze
- Dodge Caliber
- Ford Focus
- Honda Civic
- Hyundai Elantra
- Kia Forte
- Mazda 3
- Mitsubishi Lancer
- Nissan Sentra
- Nissan Versa
- Subaru Impreza
- Toyota Corolla
...or others in this specific size category
I realize that the next larger size of car [Accord, Camry, Fusion, Malibu, etc] would be much better-suited for carrying 4 adults on a trip, but still I would like answers to my questions as written.

How much should it cost to have my 2003 Nissan Sentra fuel relay replaced by a mechanic?
I had my car towed and was told that it would cost $450 total for the tow, having my car dropped off at my house and the labor and parts for a fuel relay to be replaced. Is this too much? Is it a little above average or am I being ripped off?
How much would it be to put a auto tramsmission in a 1990 nissan sentra?

possible to swap SR20 Neo VVL engine into 2006 Sentra Spec V?
I have a 2006 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V with the QR25DE 2.5L 4cyl engine, 6speed Helical LSD manual trans-axle, and Brembo brakes. I found a JDM SR20 Neo VVL engine (not the 20v as far as i can tell) and I'm curious as to whether or not this swap is doable. The SR20 comes with the ECU and wiring harness as well, but no trans-axle. I think I read a thread earlier on b15sentra.net stating that the sr20 could be mated to the spec-v's 6-speed trans-axle with an adapter plate, which would be ideal, but I'm still not sure whether or not that would be my only big issue I'd run into. My roommate is currently having issues with getting his JDM B16A Civic to pass inspection due to no OBD2 DLC (we can't get it to pass and both of us are TX licensed vehicle inspectors O.o). Would I have the same issue with the JDM SR20 as well? Are the mount points the same or close enough to fab my own engine mounts? I was contemplating the Maxima VQ35de swap that a lot of people are doing now, but I'd rather have an engine that's a little more mod-happy like the SR20. The VQ35 is a solid engine and all, but even the 350z rwd variant feels sluggish in stock form. Any insight or advice is greatly appreciated

2003 Nissan Sentra GXE Auto 1.8L - No Acceleration & Starting Problems?
I bought a Sentra a few months back from a college student with 102k miles on it. Since the day I got it I've had starting problems, usually taking two or three cranks before it starts (but never more than three). My friends dad said it could be fuel pressure. Another issue I have is slow throttle response, especially from a stop. I can floor it and it'll take 3 or 4 seconds before it gets going good, not much of an issue in the cold mornings. With prolonged driving it worsens where I have little power.
I'm also curious if it's normal when I slow down and turn a corner and push down on the gas if it's unusual for the RPMs to jump up real quick. Otherwise I feel bogged down around corners. Could just be because it's a little 1.8L? Lastly, with driving more than a hour or so, when hitting 3-4k RPMs it feels like the car shifts really hard or even when 15 minutes of driving sometimes, just less noticeable.
Check engine light is off and just a little past due my oil change. Something to note is when the power is on and engine off, battery, oil, and check engine light are all on. That may just be normal though. Another issue I have is rough idling (around 750 RPM, vibrates the car).
It seems like I have a tons of problems. Half of the time the car drives just fine some days, others its worse.
One other thing! My gas mileage seems pretty poor for being what it is. Maybe around 20/25 MPG, give or take.
i have a 1992 nissan sentra xe.?
when i drive for about 15 mins when the car gets hot it will start bogging out every now and then and when i put it in first gear it bogs really hard and sometimes it stalls out. it drives fine for the first 10 mins of driving it. iv recently changed my fuel and air filtter and spark pugs so it couldnt be that. i disconnected my o2 sensor when i was working on my car a day ago and after i connected it and drove it for about 20 mins it started bogging idk if that has anything to do with it? PLEASE HELP
