Help me choose between 2 unrelated cars!?
I live in Malaysia and planning on purchasing a small, fuel efficient yet head-turning car for city travelling and going to and from campus also leisure.
1) A brand new 2012 Toyota Prius-C @ USD$ 32,180
2) A used 2004 Smart Roadster @ USD$ 25,000
Before you guys get shocked, cars in Malaysia are highly priced but a new hybrid for 32,180 is quite cheap here. the Honda Fit Petrol is much expensive.
The reason for the Prius-C:
-Brand New | -Highly advance in technology | -Small enough for easy travels | -Fuel Economy | -Prius is considered a rich-mans toy
The reasons for Smart Roadster:
-Car i dreamt of owning and driving since young | -Very Fuel efficient | -Rare and headturning yet easily serviced | -I love and had dreamt to own a convertible/cabrio.
I'm not a family man, still studying. I like to travel to neighboring cities (about 35km away), I enjoy laid back cruise around neighborhood. I like some fashion-sense. I currently drive a 2010 CR-V which is not fuel-saving. I like to own something not common on roads e.g Smart Roadster/Prius-C.
Please help with the decision!

I was considering a 2007 Toyota Prius because it costs about 10K and has great mpg.
What alternatives are there if I want to spend about 10K and want really good mpg?

Police have spotted an inebriated man driving on the streets of London last Wednesday. Officers quickly halted the unidentified man driving a red Toyota Prius and conducted a sobriety test. The man, who was in his mid-30s, was asked to count to thirty, after which he quickly responded "I can count to potato." He was asked to walk along a straight white line as directed by the police officers, he then reacted violently screaming very incoherent phrases and attempted to make a run for it, but not before punching police officer Juarez in the jaw. He was quickly subdued by a stun gun and was brought in to custody. He was later identified as one Clayton Rodriguez, a prominent Bible scholar from Cuba. He is still awaiting trial.
Will Toyota company pay for my medical bills due to faulty airbags?
I was recently in a car accident on a freeway. My friend was driving and I was a passenger. We were hit from the side and our car span out of control. We hit the concrete wall from the front and then from the back. My friend's car was totaled. The car that hit us took off and we were not able to get the licence plate.
My question is this: my friend's car was a Toyota Prius 2001 in pretty good shape but NONE of the airbags deployed. Can I have Toyota company pay for my medical bills which I payed due to the accident? Do I need to get a lawyer to do this or can I just call them myself? What are my options? Thank you very much.

Toyota Prius / Fuel economy?
Yes! not in the car section.
Since some car companies claim that their cars have excellent fuel economy (40+), it'll dramatically lower the oil usage. However, don't you agree that electricity that the car needs energy (car with plug adapter that can use electricity from garage) that eventually comes from coal or regular source of oil combustion - petroleum burning or whatever I'm not a chem major. All in all you still HAVE to use oil and it's not a good alternative? Correct me if I'm wrong and what are some future energy sources if we can't get anymore oil?

The KBB value of my car went WAY down...WTF!!!?
A few months ago I checked the KBB value of my 2006 Toyota Prius and it was valued at $18,500. I just checked now and it is valued at $15,000. Is this because the new 2012 models came out? This seems like way too much of a decrease. What happened?? It has nothing to do with the mileage, options or zip code.
