Using the air drag force, estimate the maximum speed of a car. We use data for Toyota Prius 2004. The real height of the car is equal to 1.48 m and the width is equal to 1.72 m. These two will give you the size of the cross section area A. The value of the drag coefficient for Toyota Prius is given as CD = 0.26 (dimensionless). The density of air at 20 is equal to = 1.20 kg/m3. The maximum power of the Prius' combustion engine (only this engine is working at high speed) is 76 hp or 56.7 kW = 56700 W. (Hint: The relation of the maximum power Pmax and the maximum velocity Vmax is given by the following equation:
W = F*s => P = W/t = F*(s/t) = F*v (for F = const.)
Therefore,
vmax =_____m/s?
vmax =_____mph?

Do Toyota Prius brakes last longer? ?
Or any hybrid that recycles energy back to the battery.
How does the technology in the Toyota Prius smartkey system actually work?
I would like to know the technical side of how the Toyota Prius smartkey system works. I know it's some kind of active RFID but how exactly does the key fob turn on the lights and unlock the car just by walking up to it?
Most RFID systems require you to either press a button to send the signal or tap an access card to a reader. Is it similar to the way access card door locks work but just at a longer range?
I'm looking into this for a DIY project. Would this be something that can be replicated or is it too complicated?
Your thoughts on the Toyota Prius?
Im 15 years old (will be 16 in June) and my mom just told me that my car is going to be her old prius. I've driven it a few times and I love how it drives. It's safe, fuel efficient and roomy. However, I don't want to be teased at school about it. I don't want people do be like "ew, she drives a prius?" Hahah. What is your opinion on it. Or do you not think much of it? Either way, im stuck with it, but it wouldn't hurt to know. Thanks(:
Which of these two vehicles would be best for a commuter car?
I live in the DC metro area and need a vehicle that will be good in stop and go traffic, as well as typical highway speeds. Any feedback is appreciated.

I have a question about Toyota Prius?
I saved up enough money and I'm going to buy a Toyota Prius III Generation, Prius Five. Is it possible to buy the Technology Package WITHOUT the sunroof on top? I really hate that sunroof. And also, are you able to choose what interior leather you want? Like misty grey, dark grey, bisque, that sort of thing?
Whats the name of the song and lyrics in the 2011/2012 toyota prius commercial ?
Help me choose between 2 unrelated cars!?
I live in Malaysia and planning on purchasing a small, fuel efficient yet head-turning car for city travelling and going to and from campus also leisure.
1) A brand new 2012 Toyota Prius-C @ USD$ 32,180
2) A used 2004 Smart Roadster @ USD$ 25,000
Before you guys get shocked, cars in Malaysia are highly priced but a new hybrid for 32,180 is quite cheap here. the Honda Fit Petrol is much expensive.
The reason for the Prius-C:
-Brand New | -Highly advance in technology | -Small enough for easy travels | -Fuel Economy | -Prius is considered a rich-mans toy
The reasons for Smart Roadster:
-Car i dreamt of owning and driving since young | -Very Fuel efficient | -Rare and headturning yet easily serviced | -I love and had dreamt to own a convertible/cabrio.
I'm not a family man, still studying. I like to travel to neighboring cities (about 35km away), I enjoy laid back cruise around neighborhood. I like some fashion-sense. I currently drive a 2010 CR-V which is not fuel-saving. I like to own something not common on roads e.g Smart Roadster/Prius-C.
Please help with the decision!
