Recent Volkswagen Discussions:

What is the name of the part of a Volkswagen Passat below the grille and bumper (that looks like a grille)?

It has two grilles on either side. I'm missing this part of my car but don't know what the heck its called. Its not the front valance or front spoiler - its a grille of some sort. Thanks!

What is the classic rock song for the new Volkswagen commercial?

I looking to buy a car. cant decide whether i want a v8 or a nice 4 cylinder. just need some honest opinions.?

For a v8 I was looking at a chevy truck or a mustang gt. For the 4 cylinders I was thinking of getting a civic si, volkswagen gli, or a audi a4.

Whats wrong with my code?

This is done in Java and whenever I compile this and run it I have 2 things telling me the model name, it takes over the year (which is the thing right after model) but the rest of the numbers are fine. Also if you can tell me how to do the equals statement properly that would be super! public class Garage { public static void main(String[] args) { MotorVehicle[] vehicles = new MotorVehicle[4]; vehicles[0] = new MotorCycle("Triumph", "Bonneville", 2003, 200, 210, 11000.00, 2, 2); vehicles[1] = new Compact("Chevrolet", "Sprite", 1993, 100, 1000, 1500.00, 4, 4, 2); vehicles[2] = new Van("Plymouth", "Voyager", 2005, 130, 2200, 25000.00, 4, 8, 5); vehicles[3] = new HatchBack("Volkswagen", "Gorgon", 1994, 110, 1500, 17000.00, 4, 5, 3); for (MotorVehicle motorVehicle : vehicles) System.out.println(motorVehicle); MotorVehicle v1 = new MotorCycle("Triumph", "Bonneville", 2003, 200, 210, 11000.00, 2, 2); MotorVehicle v2 = new Compact("Chevrolet", "Sprite", 1993, 100, 1000, 1500.00, 4, 4, 2); MotorVehicle v3 = new Van("Plymouth", "Voyager", 2005, 130, 2200, 25000.00, 4, 8, 5); MotorVehicle v4 = new HatchBack("Volkswagen", "Gorgon", 1994, 110, 1500, 17000.00, 4, 5, 3); System.out.println(v1.equals(vehicles[0])); System.out.println(v2.equals(vehicles[1])); System.out.println(v3.equals(vehicles[2])); System.out.println(v4.equals(vehicles[3])); } }

No rear o2 sensor, effect idle?

I did a swap on my 94 Volkswagen golf with a 2.0 aba, auto to manual & obd1 to obd2, and on obd1 cars there's only one o2 sensor which is pre cat, so when i did the swap i figured i would just weld a bung onto the cat for the rear o2, but today when i took off my cat, i saw that it was hollowed out? there's was nothing in it, i would buy another cat but I'm dead broke & need this car running asap, Will not having the rear o2 effect idle/performance at all? I know that the rear o2 just monitors the cat. At the moment, emissions don't bother me, so don't tell me I'm gonna fail emission cause of it. I just wanna know if it effects the air/fuel ratio or will harm my idle. thanks guys

How many motor/transmission mounts does my car have?

I have a 2001 Volkswagen Golf 1.8L Turbo, and I need to know how many motor and transmission mounts it has. Do all cars have the same number of mounts? Automatic.

I have a 2003 volkswagen passet &its making a loud noise as well as shaking?

Is buying a Toyota Camry (Hybrid) Dangerous or a bad idea?

Hi, so my boyfriend is in the market for a new car. His mom is really loyal to Toyota since she and her husband have used the brand for years and say it's reliable and durable. Now, they live in China and maybe things are different there? I'm kinda scared of Toyota because of the bad reputation the bran has gotten in the past few years. You know, with all the recalls and stuff and I heard that this specific car has an issue with the airbags. About a month ago a car hit my boyfriend's car (It was a Volkswagen) out of nowhere and made him crash against a pole. The airbags saved his life. Now, everyone knows it wasn't my bf's fault and he is not a bad driver but what if someone hits his car again? What do you think about this car? Is it reliable? Thanks.

Should I get a 2000 Volkswagen Passat GLX 4motion? Or no?

I've found a 2000 Passat GLX 4motion with 137,000 miles on it. it's pretty much fully loaded except navigation. The interior and exterior are in amazing condition, and the seats have no cracks in the leather, and barely any visible wear. I'm just somewhat hesitant. Read some consumer reviews and it's hit or miss. 50 percent seem to say it's amazing, a great car, nothing but an occasion/minor repair on top of typical "every 3000 mile" maintenance. The other 50 percent saying it's horrendous with tons, a list, of repairs and being extremely costly because of it having specialized parts. My fiance has a 2008 rabbit and I love it. We need a second car, I want something a bit bigger, and I happened to find this. The price is 4200(too much?) Also, I like the fact that is has the v6 but I've been told you need to use premium gas- yet I read articles saying premium gas really isn't that much better, nor worth the extra cost, these days. Anyways, just wanna hear some feedback from actual owns that is actually recent... preferably from people who still have one. But anyones feedback who has owned one is more than welcomed.

What is the largest online volkswagen forum?

I did a google search for vw forums and there were a bunch of them that came up. I know that there have to be some very large ones since VW is a worldwide brand. However, there are also smaller ones that aren't quite as active. What are some of the best and largest online forums available?
