I am trading my 01 Vw Cabrio For '99 Mercury Cougar?
I am trading my 2001 Volkswagen Cabrio that has 132k miles on it for a '99 Mercury Cougar that has less than 92k miles on it. My Volkswagen has a few problems with it. The Check Engine Light came on so I took it to AAP and they gave me all the codes for it. Well, it turns out that there is something wrong with the computer in the car. I take it to a place and they are going to charge me 250.00 to just look at it and tell me what's wrong. This doesn't include how much it's going to cost to fix it. One of my Grandpa's friends are willing to trade me their 1999 Mercury Cougar for my car. It has less than 92k miles on it, but the only problem with that is that it's out of alignment and pulls to the right, but he's having that fixed before the trade. So tell me, is this a good trade? Or should I back out? My knowledge on cars isn't great, so I was wondering if someone could help me. Thanks.

The fellow in the VW pulled over got out of his car and asked the fellow in the Rolls Royce what he was crying for and exclaimed " look what you've got to drive in heaven compared to what I've got to drive then the man in the Rolls Royce said I just saw my wife go past on a pair of Roller Skates.

Weird sporatic turn signal noise on 2004 VW Passat ?
My volkswagen Passat 2004 makes the turn signal sound sporatically after I use it and turn. I checked to see if it meant that my light was out (turn signal light) but it wasnt. it continues to do it as i drive and does it in a fast-pace rhythm rather than the normal slow-paced rhythm. help!

Door locks in my passat?
I have a 1998 Volkswagen passat. The 2 back doors are shut lock and don't open at all. The drivers door lock is also a bit troublesome as when i try to lock the car the key keeps turning and sometimes wont lock the car. I bought 2 back door locks and a front door lock. I'm just wondering do i need to replace them all? Or if i put the front door lock in will it work the back 2?! Help needed! Thanks

When I take my foot off the accelerator it feels as through someone is applying the brakes and will feel as though it is auto downshifting by itself; so to speak. I have researched all over the web and cannot come to any conclusions. Even the mechanic I sent it to said MAYBE it's something with the transmission and sent me on my way' but he did not seem very sure. I have read everything from fuel pumps to fuel filters to transmission problems and am getting no where. someone please help! It's not severe but its really annoying! it only does it from speeds at 1-20 mph when you get it going on the highway etc there is no slow down issue. But in traffic its hell, and driving through Boston doesn't help!

no its not wind resistance and its not the brakes. It is too extreme to be wind resistance and at high speeds does not happen. It slows down as if you have your foot on the brake and your slowing to a halt when you don't.
